The Ritz Carlton Hotel in San Francisco is located in an architecturally splendid Nob Hill property that dates back to 1909. Originally the headquarters for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, this Neo-Classical landmark was transformed into the Ritz Carlton Hotel on April 8, 1991. The hotel recently completed a $7 million renovation and numerous awards from travel experts tell the rest of the story. Gourmet Magazine rated the hotel as the "Best for Business in North America." The readers of Conde Nest Traveler and Travel + Leisure magazines consider the Ritz Carlton the best hotel in San Francisco.
